Oregon, Washington, Utah Lead Pac-12 In Week 6 Rankings

Alabama’s Crimson Tide continues to lead all teams in our Week 6 national rankings, as they have from the preseason.  (The Coaches Poll now also shows Alabama as its top-ranked team.)

Clemson continues in second. The Tigers’ close call against North Carolina was not terribly costly in the rankings because the Tar Heels have become a rather formidable foe under new/old coach Mack Brown.

Georgia remains third and Oklahoma moved into fourth after evicting idle LSU.

Notre Dame made the biggest jump as the Fighting Irish defeated nationally-ranked Virginia 35-20 to move from 12th to seventh.

Our system was 43-12 in game predictions and now stands 279-60 (82%) for the season.  Some of our favorite predictions were:

Fresno State over New Mexico State, predicted 33-17.  Final was 30-17.

Vanderbilt over N. Illinois, predicted 24-20.  Final was 24-18.

Notre Dame over Virginia, predicted 33-24.  Final was 35-20.

Memphis over Navy, predicted 36-28.  Final was 35-23.

Louisiana Tech over Rice, predicted 28-20.   Final was 23-20.
