Abe Asher’s College Football Picks – Week 14

It’s conference championship week across the country, with the Pac-12, B1G, Big XII, ACC, and SEC titles on the line. Rob Mullins should be watching the games keenly, seeing as his commitment to the College Football Playoff Committee is ironclad.

I went 10-4 last week, bringing my season record to 115-48. Here are this week’s picks.

Washington 34, Colorado 31 – The Huskies are one win away from a spot in the playoff, but it won’t come easy: Colorado’s only two losses this year are against Michigan and USC.

TCU 32, Kansas State 27 – Bill Snyder is the midst of leading K-State to their seventh consecutive bowl game. That’s pretty damn impressive.

Navy 45, Temple 34 – I doubt they’ll give him a look, but Navy coach Ken Niumatalolo would be a fantastic hire for the Ducks.

Oklahoma 44, Oklahoma State 27 – Mike Gundy has gone into overdrive.

West Virginia 38, Baylor 10 – Karma.

2

Alabama 27, Florida 3 – The first half of this game last year was incredible. Florida was winning 7-5 in the second quarter.

Clemson 44, Virginia Tech 28 – Meanwhile, over at Clemson…

3

Wisconsin 23, Penn State 17 – If we can’t get an Ohio State-Michigan rematch in this game, can we at least let Iowa in for a quarter?
