PORTLAND, OR – Major League Table Tennis (MLTT), the first professional table tennis league in the USA, is launching its second season in Portland, Oregon at Viking Pavilion on the Portland State University campus. The three-day event will run September 13th – 15th with the first match starting at 4:00 pm on Friday.
MLTT features world class players — including a number of recent Olympians — representing over 40 countries, who compete in an innovative team game format that concludes with the Golden Game, a pulse-pounding race to 21 points where every member of each 5-person team rotates in every 4 points.
General admission tickets for the event start at $10 for kids, $25 for general admission, and $60 for VIP. Tickets also grant fans access to the fan zone, where they can play on ping pong tables against a ping pong robot, meet the pros, and potentially even get a chance to play a few points against them.
“Our first season was a tremendous success, exceeding our expectations in terms of player performance and fan engagement, and the Portland crowd last year was so wildly enthusiastic and supportive that we had to make Portland our first stop on this year’s tour,” MLTT Commissioner Flint Lane said. “As we kick off our second season, we’re excited to build on this momentum and continue to deliver high-quality, competitive table tennis to our growing fan base.”
This is the first of 13 competition weekends for the 2024-25 season, which will culminate with a championship in April of 2025. Details on that location will be announced soon.
Fans eager to witness the live action and cheer for their favorite teams are encouraged to book their spots in advance. Tickets can be conveniently purchased on the official MLTT website at mltt.com/tickets.
