In their second year playing NCAA Division I FBS football in the Big Ten Conference, the **Oregon Ducks** continue to impress with fourth-year Head Coach Dan Lanning having his team once again sitting in the Top 10 in the **2025 College Football rankings.**
Last season, the Ducks, for the first time since leaving the Pac-12 Conference, QB **Dillon Gabriel** and Oregon went in as the No. 1 seed in the 2024-25 College Football Playoff, only to be eliminated by eventual national champions No. 8 Ohio State, 41-21 in the Quarterfinals.
Oregon entered that 12-team bracket with a perfect 13-0 regular-season mark after beating the Buckeyes by a point (32-31) in Eugene, Oregon, in Week 6. But beating Ohio State a second time in the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California, proved impossible.
In their first year playing in the Big Ten, the Ducks went a spotless 9-0 and Oregon went all the way until October 2025 before losing its first conference game when upstart Indiana went into Autzen Stadium (FieldTurf) and upset the Ducks, 30-20 on Oct. 11.
The Home loss was Oregon’s first in 19 games and snapped the nation’s longest Home winning streak. The Ducks also had a 20-game Home win streak (2000-2009), and Oregon is 147-26 in Eugene this millennium after a 3-1 start in 2025 at Autzen Stadium.
Oregon Ducks Football Tickets in October
After a nice win at then-No. 3 Penn State in two OT (30-24) on Sept. 27, 2025, Oregon was off to a perfect 5-0 start and looking like a lock to make the CFP before Indiana came into town and burst the Ducks’ bubble, snapping that 18-game Home win streak.
The loss means Oregon will probably have to win out the rest of its Big Ten Regular Season schedule to make the CFP, but with no Ohio State this time around, qualifying for NCAA Football’s version of the Big Dance is definitely still in the gridiron cards.
In Week 8 on Oct. 18, Oregon (6-1, 3-1 Big Ten) rebounded with a 56-10 win over Rutgers at SHI Stadium in Piscataway, NJ, as Ducks QB and Heisman Trophy candidate **Dante Moore** (25/1 to win Heisman) ****was 15-for-20 for 290 yards and four TDs.
In Week 9 play on Saturday, October 25, the Ducks return to 2727 Leo Harris Parkway and Autzen Stadium to face the Wisconsin Badgers in a **Big Ten game** as Oregon will look to start another Home winning streak.
Oregon Ducks Football Tickets in November
Dierre Hill Jr., Jordan Davison, and the Ducks will look for a perfect 4-0 November with two Road and two Home games as the Regular Season comes to an end. Oregon is 7-0 in its last seven games in November.
On Saturday, November 8, the Ducks will play Iowa for the first time as a Big Ten member, with a game at Kinnick Stadium in Iowa City, where tickets are just $91.30. Oregon is 2-1 lifetime vs Iowa. They last met in 1994.
The Ducks welcome **Minnesota** to Autzen Stadium on Friday, November 14, for a nationally televised game under the lights (FOX, 9 ET/6PT) and what should be an Oregon win over the Golden Gophers. You can get tickets for this game for only $55.
Next up on the schedule is a **Saturday, November 22** date with an old Pac-12 rival, No. 20 USC, at Home at Autzen Stadium in what should be an important game for the Ducks to win to keep their CFP hopes alive.
Oregon’s Regular Season ends with a showdown against another old rival, Washington, at Husky Stadium in Seattle on Saturday, November 29. The Ducks and Huskies have played every year since 1900, and this is one of the 25 most-played FBS rivalries.
Has Oregon Ever Won an NCAAF Championship?
No, Oregon ****(12/1 to win 2025-26 CFP, FanDuel) is still looking for its first football national championship, despite evolving into one of the strongest programs in the US. The Ducks are 1-2 lifetime in the CFP.
Oregon made it to the 2011 BCS National Championship where it lost to Auburn on a FG as time expired (22-19), and then lost to Ezekiel Elliott and Ohio State in the 2015 CFP National Championship (42-20) as the Buckeyes’ RB rushed for 246 yards and four TDs at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
Driven by former Ducks Track athlete and **Nike** co-founder Phil Knight—who has donated over $1 billion to the university—expect Oregon to eventually bring a coveted national championship to campus one day.
Does Oregon Still Have a Path to the 2025-26 CFP?
Yes, if Oregon can win out and end the Regular Season with an 11-1 record, it will be hard for the committee to ignore the Ducks (-300 to make CFP) in the 12-team field.
The loss to the Hoosiers hurt Oregon’s chances to make the 2025 Big Ten Championship Game at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis on Saturday, December 6 (FOX, 8 ET/5 PT) with Ohio State and Indiana unbeaten and not playing each other this season.
The two biggest threats on the schedule may be old rivals USC and Washington, but at least the Ducks get the Trojans at Home.
The first 2025 College Football Playoff (CFP) rankings will be revealed on Tuesday, November 4, 2025 (ESPN, 8ET/5 PT).
