CBD Oil For Runners

CBD Oil, or Cannabidiol oil, has exploded lately and runners should take advantage of it. There are many rewards for using CBD’s in order to treat and manage anything from the smallest ache to chronic pain, to reducing inflammation, and some claim that it can enhance your running performance.

It is true that CBDs are obtained from the marijuana plant, but they do not provide a person with the psychoactivity, or stoned feeling, that you would get with THC. It is completely separate from THC, and it comes packed with some intriguing healing properties.

While CBD is great for the runner, there are many benefits of cbd that can assist with various ailments and conditons, such as reducing anxiety and fear, improving sleep disorders, aid with neurological disorders, epilepsy, cancer, Alzheimer’s, type 1 diabetes, and glaucoma.

There are places online where you can get more information on CBD – Click here to visit this website and learn more. Even though CBD is slowly becoming more popular outside the running community, there are still some hurdles that need to be overcome.

CBD is still an illegal substance according to the federal government, so studies involving CBD are few-for now. It is exciting to see new studies emerge and see a potentially healthier option than pharmaceuticals for people to manage their illnesses.

Our bodies naturally produce cannabinoids-and CBD encourages the body to produce more cannabinoids on its own. We have two primary cannabinoid receptors: CB1 receptors on our nerve cells in our brain and CB2 receptors located among our lymphatic and immune system.

CBD works with these cannabinoid receptors to get them to react and fight off pain, inflammation, anxiety, etc.

Specifically, the runner will enjoy using CBD’s to reduce inflammation and for pain management. I personally have been using a CBD oil on my hips for nearly a year now. This is to manage the tendonitis that resides there, just waiting to flare up. I have seen a definite reduction in flare ups since using it-even with incredible mileage increases. Now, when I do have a flare up it will only last for a few days instead of the 6 weeks to heal before CBD.

There are mild side effects that some may experience when using CBD. Those include fatigue, appetite changes, and/or diarrhea. I have not had an issue with any of these while using CBD oil.

Since we live in an area, and a time, when marijuana either is or will soon be legal, CBDs are also included in many products that also contain THC. THC is the part of the marijuana plant that will get you high. If that’s your thing, look for products that contain a good percentage of CBD so you get some of their benefits.

You can locate CBD products at marijuana dispensaries as well as through many online retailers, such as these: https://www.leaf2go.ca/Buy-weed-online-and-Mail-Order-Marijuana-in-Ontario_ep_56.html. There is a bevy of different application options and levels of CBD potency.

They come in balms, oils, tinctures, gummies, chews-nearly any type of product you could imagine. You can choose to use it topically or to ingest it (depending on the product).

While researching this article I ran across an intriguing website that offers running-related CBD products: Dixie Botanicals. I have not personally tried any of their products, but I just might.

Have you jumped aboard the CBD bandwagon? If so, I would love to hear about it.
