Super Bowl LIX Best Bets – Chiefs Vs. Eagles

Xavier Worthy OVER 5.5 rushing yards (-140 on BetMGM)

Worthy has emerged as the top wide receiver for Kansas City as his usage is way up over the last month, and he has gone over this rushing total in four of the previous five games. The Eagles’ number-one-ranked defense will force Andy Reid to go deep in his playbook, so expect a few runs for the speedster to be called.

Patrick Mahomes OVER 5.5 rushing attempts (-125 on BetMGM)

Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes isn’t known primarily for his rushing, but in high-stakes games, he’s shown a willingness to use his legs more often. Mahomes has hit over this number in both postseason playoff games and three out of his four Super Bowl appearances. The Eagles’ dominant pass rush will force Mahomes to scramble more frequently, so expect Mahomes to cover this number with ease.

Jalen Hurts Anytime Touchdown Scorer (-115 on BetMGM)

Jalen Hurts has been one of the most effective red-zone rushing quarterbacks in the NFL, making him an excellent bet to score at least one touchdown in Super Bowl LIX. The Eagles’ offense thrives on short-yardage situations, and their “Tush Push” quarterback sneak has been nearly automatic when they are near the goal line. Hurts has recorded at least one rushing touchdown in ten of his last fifteen games, showing his ability to capitalize in crucial moments. With a total of 48.5, there should be many red zone opportunities for Hurts. Given his role in the Eagles’ offense and their success in the red zone, he is highly likely to find the end zone at some point in the game.

Eagles +1.5 (-115 on BetMGM)

Picking against Andy Reid and Patrick Mahomes is usually never a safe bet. However, you could argue the Chiefs have had one of the luckiest seasons in recent history. 12 of their 17 wins have been decided by one possession, and many of those wins came down to one or two plays that went the Chiefs’ way. The law of averages says the Chiefs’ luck will, at some point, regress toward the mean. Fortunately, the law of averages is not the only reason to bet on the Eagles. With all the talk surrounding the Chiefs’ potential three-peat and the Eagles’ plethora of offensive weapons, it seems that the Eagles’ number-one-ranked defense is being undervalued. The Eagles defense has terrorized teams all year, allowing a league-low 17.9 points per game. Additionally, the rookie duo of Quinyon Mitchell and Cooper DeJean has helped turn the Eagles into the league’s best pass defense, which will exploit Kelce’s regression as a player (posting career lows in touchdowns and receiving yards) and the Chiefs’ lack of talent on the outside will show. Saquon Barkley added a new dimension to this team, which you could argue was already the most talented roster in the NFL before he signed. This game will be close, but all these factors point to the Eagles being crowned Super Bowl LIX champions. 1.5 gives you a little insurance, but do not be afraid to bet the money line at +100.

Coin toss outcome – Heads (-102 on BetMGM)

It’s always heads!
