Calgary, Alta. – The Western Hockey League announced today changes to the schedule of games for the Central Division from April 22 through May 6, as well as the addition of one game to the B.C. Division schedule.
The Calgary Hitmen have been cleared to return to play after completing their 14-day isolation period and following further testing for COVID-19, which yielded no positive results. Team activities for the Hitmen were suspended on Thursday, April 8 after the Club received one positive test for COVID-19 within the team cohort.

The remaining eight postponed games on the B.C. Division schedule will not be rescheduled. As a result, the teams in the B.C. Division will complete their regular season schedules having played the following number of games:

Tri-City American games have been postponed through April 28 due to their COVID 19 positive case.
Brandon Wheat Kings walloped Swift Current Broncos 6-1 with a 33-18 shot advantage and went 3-6 on the powerplay. The Broncos went 1-6 on theirs.
Going to overtime, the Winnipeg Ice snuck out a 6-5 win over Moose Jaw Warriors. The Ice outshot Moose Jaw 43-29. Winnipeg got a pair of goals on four tries on the powerplay, with the Warriors 2-3 on their tries.
Vancouver Giants got by Victoria Royals 5-3 with a 3-9 on the powerplay, while Victoria went 3-5. Vancouver outshot Victoria 38-20.
The next night saw:
Everett Silvertips shutout Spokane Chiefs 5-0. After having issues with them before, the Tips took full control during regulation time, holding Spokane off the scoresheet during their 4 powerplay chances and going one for two on their own. Shots were tied at 32 each.
Saskatoon Blades were shutout by Prince Albert Raiders 4-0, where the Raiders outshot Saskatoon 31-20. Raiders went 0-2 while Saskatoon went 0-4 on the powerplay.
Swift Current Broncos edged the Regina Pats 3-2, though they were outshot 34-24, and the powerplays were 2-3 for Regina, 1-5 Swift Current.
Kamloops Blazers blasted Prince George Cougars 4-1, though the Cougars outshot the Blazers 44-31. Kamloops went 1-4 while Prince George was goose egged 0-4 on the man advantage
Edmonton Oil Kings shutout Medicine Hat Tigers 3-0. They peppered Medicine Hat with a 52-30 shot advantage. But both teams went fruitless on the powerplay. Edmonton at 0-5, Medicine Hat 0-3.
