DuPont, Wash. – The 35th Pacific Northwest Men’s Mid-Amateur Championship is being held Sept. 10-12 at The Home Course in DuPont, Wash. The 54-hole stroke-play championship will be conducted by the Pacific Northwest Golf Association (PNGA).

To be eligible for this championship, players must be 25 years of age or older by September 10, 2019 and have a USGA Handicap Index or Golf Canada Handicap Factor of 8.4 or lower.
In last year’s Men’s Mid-Amateur Championship, held at Crane Creek Country Club in Boise, Idaho, Reid Hatley of Hayden Lake, Idaho won the title, on his way to being named the 2018 PNGA Men’s Mid-Amateur Player of the Year, the fourth year in a row he had been so honored.
This year’s strong field includes notables such as PNGA Hall of Famer Tom Brandes (Bellevue, Wash.), who won this championship in 2006 and 2012; Jon McCaslin (Olympia, Wash.), who won the 2018 WSGA Champion of Champions, and earlier this summer made it to the quarterfinals of the PNGA Men’s Amateur; and Jeff Ward (Bend, Ore.), who won this championship in 2014.
Opened in 2007, The Home Course is cooperatively owned and operated by the Washington State Golf Association and Pacific Northwest Golf Association. The course has been the site of numerous local, regional and national championships, including the 2009 and 2018 PNGA Men’s Amateur, being the companion course to Chambers Bay for the 2010 U.S. Amateur and the venue for the 2014 U.S. Women’s Amateur Public Links. The Home Course will also be the companion course to Chambers Bay for the 2021 U.S. Amateur Four-Ball.
