Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson does it again. It seems like all he does is win since the Seahawks drafted him back in the 2012 NFL Draft. He’s led them to winning seasons every year, nearly capturing 2 Vince Lombardi Trophies along the way.
Here’s a recap of the Seahawks’ record since drafting Russ:
- 11 wins, 5 losses (2012)
- 13 wins, 3 losses (2013)
- 12 wins, 4 losses (2014)
- 10 wins, 6 losses (2015)
- 10 wins, 5 losses, 1 tie (2016)
- 9 wins, 7 losses (2017)
- 10 wins, 6 losses (2018)
- 11 wins, 5 losses (2019)
This year should be another winning season. In fact, even before the 2020 NFL season kicks off, Wilson has yet another win. Win Harrison Wilson, to be exact.
On July 23, 2020, in the midst of all the craziness and uncertainty happening in the world, we got another win in Seattle. Wilson and his wife, Ciara, welcomed their second child to the world, a baby boy named Win Harrison Wilson.
Gosh, how fitting is that name?
But as much as it is a blessing to welcome baby Win to the world, we’re still constantly reminded of how dangerous the world still is. The pandemic is still going strong.
Players want to play, but not if it will put them or their loved ones at risk. Especially for players who have newborns, like Russell Wilson.
Player safety has been a huge headline lately, and we still have many questions heading into the 2020 NFL season. How will the league protect its players? How many days of training camp? Fans or no fans? Will there even be a 2020 NFL Season?
No matter what the future holds for us, we’ve got to celebrate the small wins. So join me in celebrating another win in Seattle. Welcome to the world, Win Harrison Wilson.
